Cha​nges we have made to the Newcastle Homes Privacy Notice

Our privacy notice tells you what to expect us to do with your personal information when you make contact with us or use one of our services. 

We keep our privacy notice under regular review to make sure it is up to date and accurate. We have made the following changes to the privacy notice.

• We've updated the section ‘The information we collect, hold, and use about you'.
• We’ve updated the section ‘Under what circumstances will my information be shared’.
• We’ve updated the privacy notice to include hyperlinks to Newcastle City Council  ‘Anti-Fraud Data Matching Privacy Notice’ and the ‘National Fraud Initiative Privacy Notice'.
• We’ve updated the privacy notice to include hyperlinks to Your Homes Newcastle ‘National Fraud Initiative – Fair Processing Notice’.

New Housing Plus Property Brochure Now Available

Your Homes Newcastle's Housing Plus team provides affordable, quality accommodation for people aged 50 and over across the city.

Each property has a dedicated Housing Plus Officer to provide tenancy and housing support and our schemes provide communal areas designed for socialising and activities.

Welcome to Newcastle Homes

Newcastle Homes is the new way to apply for social housing in Newcastle. It replaces Tyne and Wear Homes which has now come to an end.

The aim of Newcastle Homes is to assist people to find affordable housing in Newcastle upon Tyne. If you want to view or bid for council or housing association properties in Newcastle, you will find these on this website.

If you had expressed an interest in being re-housed in Newcastle through Tyne and Wear Homes your housing application will be moved to Newcastle Homes.

This website is very similar to the Tyne and Wear Homes website. If your application is active you will search and bid for properties in the same way that you did on Tyne and Wear Homes.

If you have recently applied to be rehoused in Newcastle, we will continue to process your application as quickly as possible.

If do not want to be re-housed in the Newcastle area you can close your application by following the instructions detailed on the ‘Closing Your Application’ page of this website or you can contact us, and we can close your application for you.

If you were registered with Tyne and Wear Homes and had also expressed an interest in being re-housed in Gateshead, North Tyneside or South Tyneside, your details will also be transferred to the new system for that area. You can find the details for these websites at www.tyneandwearhomes.org.uk.
