Shortly after you accept an offer of a property you will be asked to sign your tenancy agreement. This can be quite soon after you view a property. In preparation for moving home there are a few things that we would recommend you consider so that you are ready to move.
Help with the cost of removals
Unfortunately, we are not able to help with payments for a removal company to move your personal possessions. If you are able to, you might want to start saving some money to pay for this cost.
Change of address
Depending on where you are moving from, you will need to let certain organisations and people know that you have moved. The list below
- The relevant benefits department if you are in receipt of benefits such as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or HMRC.
- Your employer
Utilities and Household Bills
If you are living in a property and are responsible for the household bills you will need to let your current provider know that you are moving house.
- Your current gas and electricity provider to provide them with your final metre readings

- TV Licensing
- Council Tax
- Landline provider
- Internet provider
- Mobile provider
- Insurance providers
